Green Fest Indy – 2010 Event Information

Green Fest Indy–2010 is a fully inclusive festival filled with fun learning experiences to address the important changes we need to make in our homes, businesses, and communities.

Where:  Toyota Expo Hall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds
When: Friday – Sunday, March 26 – 28, 2010
Times: Friday, March 26: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 27: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, March 28: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Prices: $8 Adults, Children 12 and under FREE


Indy's green businesses and communities come together from across central Indiana to work on solutions to make our city a healthy sustainable place to live. People from all over the Midwest will be welcome to join us. Green Fest Indy–2010 brings many opportunities to the heart of our city to learn about green products, services, ideas, networks, and jobs.

The event will feature product exhibits, workshops, presentations, and a special interactive area just for kids.

Saturday 11am – Instrument Making – 45mins
Khabir Shareef is a storyteller and teaching artist with Young Audiences and VSA, and a three-time recipient of the Indiana Arts Commission’s individual artist grant. Along with fellow Young Audiences Teaching Artist, Tony Artis, this workshop will show students how to construct and play instruments made from disposable items - such as plastic tubes, sticks, metal containers, etc.
